Description:

I had to reinstall windows and all that, but I FINALLY got it working. The laptop im using only has 256 mb mem right now (gonna upgrade) so reinstalling a fresh win xp pro corporate let me run it almost flawlessly (just 1 spike or so). It has a few ms of latency but getting new memory should lower it, so it feels more realer but its almost perfect something you really can't tell. Alot of people said I couldn't do it, but I did with what I had! The equipment I have isn't what anyone would tell u but I did it. Heres the Equipment: 1 x American Audio Audio Genie (stereo in/out on rca cables) 1 x Audiotrak Maya Ex5 CE (crystal edition: Headphone, Mic, Line in; SPDIF I/O; Front, Center, Rear out;2nd headphone out w/ fiber optics connector) 2x rca to rca cables 2x numark tt-100 turntables 2x virtual dj timecoded vinyl 1x dell latitude c800 Drivers: Maya EX5 asio drivers (on their website), Asio4all Qsound Asio4all allowed me to use both cards. I disabled the onboard card of my laptop and qsound, and just enabled the 2 usb sound cards. The vinyls don't give 100% compatibility (its on 0%) but everything works besides needle dropping and starting where you drop (tit just starts where I am but that's cool anyway as I can redrop needle to beginning if im out of room but I can prob enable it somehow)

the easiest way to answer this is to tell u how to set it up. Both your tables (left and right phono, or digital if u have cd players) goto the 1,2,3,4 channels input of the maya... and the maya sends that to the computer via usb. then the 1,2,3,4 output go back to the mixer NOT in phono (in the line ins instead). the signal isn't phono nomore only to the maya which it recognizes so u dont need anything else..

oh well if that's cheap yeah.. maya 44 usb has maya usb/esi on it. just in case ima send u a link so u can see. one company brought the other (like esi brought audiotrak or something) so they label it under both companies.

well it is cheap compared to JUST a few that cost more... but it was $120.00 (yes more than my tables and all LOL). a maya44.. you will DEF need this if you wanna use vdj timecode vinyls.. there are others but they cost same (like gigaport which is by same company). If you had a controller (like hercules) those have builtin sound cards u can use.. dont get a maya ex5 i had one wont work good u'll need 2... and alot of troubleshooting versus maya44 plug and play
