some experiments with mercury. sorry for my left hand being in the way in the conducting experiment, i didnt notice that until i remixed the videos. producing amalgam from mixing copper (the two coins) and mercury didnt work, as obviously my mercury is pure (while it needs to be some (rather dangerous) compound to react with copper). need to find out more about that myself, sorry. ps: the twinkling stuff you can see on my hands after i handled the mercury are glass fragments from mercury's original case (they sort of stay attached to mercury on the surface - so does fat or dust). pps: if you dont like the music, simply turn down the volume. :-P |

It kills in the long run, so people are not always aware of the danger. Make sure you got rid of the wire and LED which you dipped in the mercury since they have probably been "wet" by it and are now contaminated. __________________________________________________ | |
