in 2005 Edward Hardwicke (Dr. Watson from 1986-1994) was in the latest version of Oliver. he plays my fav. character in the story- the kindly old gentleman (could he be anybody else?) who takes Oliver in after he is wrongly accused of picking his pocket one of my fav. scenes for Holmes fans- you might recognize the actor (Frank Mills) (the officer who asks oliver his name)- he was "Peterson" the commisionare in the Blue Carbuncle (1984) (I didnt just buy a copy because of Edward- but he was definitely a selling point!) ***entertainment only- i do not own these clips*** |

adelfred 2008-02-19 12:25:07 Nice to see Edward Hardwicke though I do not remember him. About Oliver, my favorite is the version with Sir Alec Guiness as Fagin. That is some of the best acting ever. And you could kill the jerks who made it into a musical. __________________________________________________ |
