Description: I love this song so much so I decided to cut it from the original movie, and uploaded here, and I was very surprised of all the responses. ^^. Thank you. For me this version of Romeo and Juliet is the best, and the soundtrack is fanstactic. Both the song and the singer are adorable. At first I thought the song's title was "A time for us", because the music is kinda similar, but then another user told me its actual name is "What is a youth". I just write it here to let you guys know in case you're curious. And I have no idea who the singer is, sorry. Again, thanks for all your comments. ^^. And here is the lyric: What is a youth? Impetuous fire. What is a maid? Ice and desire. The world wags on. A rose will bloom It then will fade So does a youth. So do-o-o-oes the fairest maid. Comes a time when one sweet smile Has its season for a while...Then love's in love with me. Some they think only to marry, Others will tease and tarry, Mine is the very best parry. Cupid he rules us all. Caper the cape, but sing me the song, Death will come soon to hush us along. Sweeter than honey and bitter as gall. Love is a task and it never will pall. Sweeter than honey...and bitter as gall Cupid he rules us all |

HollyfromNJ ::: Favorites 2007-12-23 23:18:58 should add: olivia and leonard did a wonderful job with the acting. shakespeare's language is not easy to make accessible to a 21st century audience, even in this well-known play. but the acting is enchanting,esp.olivia. __________________________________________________

YieArKungFu ::: Favorites 2007-12-14 21:37:56 Great post. This film immortalized their beauty, both Olivia & Leonard. They will grow old but Romeo & Juliet circa 1968 will be forever beautiful. And the song is so touching, and so real. It epitomizes the situation. Everybody grows old and dies. Beauty wilts and fades just like a flower. It's so sad, and so true. __________________________________________________
