contradiction bible God evil wrath judgement love mercy compassion answer testament new old patient warning
Description: One of the many accusations against the Bible is that "it presents two different views of God". These people allege that the OLD Testament presents only a God of WRATH and JUDGEMENT, and that the NEW Testament presents only a God of LOVE. The accusers take verses right out of context, attempting to deceive gullible, ignorant people, and claim that there is a "CONTRADICTION". In this video, I would like to show you...otherwise. ;) PS. CHECK OUT THE OUT-TAKES AT THE END!! |

Islandfad ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 02:43:10 A lot of people say God is violent, and point to such and such verse, etc. But God doesn't edit out good from bad. A lot biblical events are just that, historic stories. Cain and Able for instance. God didn't agree with what Cain did. He even expelled him for it. Another is Lot, again an historic story. No where does it say God agreed or commanded him to do what he did. Unlike the Koran, however. God tells the whole story, not just the good parts. __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-12-08 19:32:39 "did u ever though about the probabilty that god do not exist?" Theres no evidence proving that God doesn't exist. If you find any, you'll be world famous lol. "do u think your religion is the only right one?" Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. NOONE comes to the Father except through Me" It is JESUS who claimed to be the only way to heaven...and I for one stand on HIS side (the winning side) in the face of the enemy. True Christianity is not religion. __________________________________________________

doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 19:20:05 well I'm sorry to tell you this Philos, but the Law and the Prophets ARE the Old Testament...whether you like it or not! And your quote of Christ saying so is EXTREEMLY inaccurate! You obviously havent read the passage! He clearly stated that He did not come to abolish the "Law and the Prophets" (NOT the 'OLD TESTAMENT' as you said), but to fulfill them. __________________________________________________
Philos2006 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 19:01:07 Sorry doctor, but in all your texts I see nowhere I direct abolishment of the old testament. Peace !! __________________________________________________
childofthegreatIAM ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 16:12:25 Great points! The word of God never fails. Amen :) __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 11:19:39 ISAIAH 64:6... "ALL our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment". JOHN 6:28-29... "They said to Him, 'What must we do, to be doing the works of God?' Jesus answered them, 'This is the work of God, THAT YOU BELIEVE IN HIM WHOM HE HAS SENT'" JOHN 3:16... "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever BELIEVES IN HIM may not perish, but have eternal life" __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 11:15:05 Galatians 3:11 says the same thing, and Galatians 3:23-26 talks about the Law as a "school-master" showing us how bad we are in God's eyes...and that we NEED that righteousness that comes from God THROUGH FAITH in Jesus Christ. EPHESIANS 2:8-9... "For by GRACE you have been saved THROUGH FAITH...not a result of works, so that noone may boast. EPHESIANS 2:16... Jesus "abolish[ed] the law of commandments and ordinances" __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 11:10:55 ROMANS 10:3-4 explains this... "For being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. FOR CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS TO EVERYONE WHO 'BELIEVES'" GALATIANS 2:15-16 says "...a person is NOT justified by works of the law, BUT THROUGH FAITH in JESUS CHRIST... because by works of the Law NO ONE will be justified" __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 11:05:47 Now, Jesus said, "...Unless your righteousness EXCEEDS THAT OF THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (MATT 5:20) What did he mean by that? - the Scribes and Pharisees were the most religious people around knowing all the laws... __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 10:57:57 Jesus ALSO said, "The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed UNTIL JOHN (the Baptist). Since then, the good news of the Kingdom of God is preached" (LUKE 16:16) Again MATTHEW states Jesus said... "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force...FOR ALL THE PROPHETS AND THE LAW prophesied UNTIL JOHN" (MATT 11:12-13) __________________________________________________
doctorh2005 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 10:53:31 Philos, why have you deliberately neglected to include the rest of the verse which says... "...Not a dot will pass from the Law UNTIL ALL IS ACCOMPLISHED"??? Jesus said on the cross "IT IS FINISHED!" (John 19:30) and the original Greek word for "Finished" in that verse also means "ACCOMPLISHED". Christ fulfilled and accomplished the Law and the Prophets by his life, death and ressurection. __________________________________________________
Philos2006 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 09:38:47 Hey doctor2005: Unfortunately Jesus said" "that he did not come to abolish the old but to fulfill it".There goes your theory that the old is no longer valid.Peace !! __________________________________________________ |
