B0SSNINE ::: Favorites @Trystelune: Yep, all europeon cars beat american cars. You've got a Ferrari in America, and the British form of Ford in Europe. Technically, the Ferrari is now an American. And the Ford Falcon is British. By your standards, Ford beats Ferrari in this situation. Hehe, i just turned what you said against you. NOTE: You must know about Ford's branches to get this 'joke'. ;) 07-08-26 01:40:05 _____________________________________________________
02Steeda ::: Favorites Ive seen a Carrera GT get ripped by a Nova in person...they look nice and have nice power...but they cant mess with nicely built muscle 07-08-25 22:52:14 _____________________________________________________
stevewode ::: Favorites the cobra r is an amazing car but honestly if there were equal drivers in those 2 cars the porsche would win hands down...i love mustangs but they arent made to beat 450,000 cars....give all cars a chance guys, regardless of where they are made 07-08-25 20:19:17 _____________________________________________________
genYprogressive ::: Favorites New York will have an Autobahn before a stock Cobra R takes down a Carerra GT. 07-08-16 01:55:36 _____________________________________________________
alwcurlz ::: Favorites You get what you pay for ;) Put up to $15,000 (fraction of the cost of a Porsche) into an equal sized American car and it will blow the doors off any Porsche. Ever heard of GT40 or Dodge Viper GT? 07-08-21 20:51:36 _____________________________________________________
genYprogressive ::: Favorites Of course 15k of mods will make some cars have supercar performance numbers. I have seen 8 second street EVOs and Supras. You are right about the GT40 and Viper, but the Cobra R is no GT40. 07-08-24 00:31:42 _____________________________________________________
alwcurlz ::: Favorites Coming from a 71 Monte Carlo guy....wow!! Awesome!! Didn't show in the video how much the Mustang was but, $460,000 for what? Uffda. 07-08-12 21:24:19 _____________________________________________________
reactorfallout ::: Favorites and not all "R" models were sold to SCCA lisence holders. the 2000 models were the third rendition of the Cobra R. as a fanboy you should know that. 07-08-09 22:21:45 _____________________________________________________
spiritof78 ::: Favorites I was a bit harsh in my Ferrari comment, I just thought you were comparing a Mustang to a Ferrari, which is a bit unfair. I am aware of the 93, 95 and 00 model Cobra R's. My understanding of the SCCA license requirement was based on literature at the time, but you seem to have first hand experience, and that's worth more. Seriously. Good luck with your Ferrari by the way. 07-08-10 14:28:29 _____________________________________________________
reactorfallout ::: Favorites I was looking at buying a 2000 Cobra R before I found the love of my life, a la 512TR, but when I test drove one I didn't realize how spartan they are. The cockpit is completely stripped, and the diffusers are so low to the ground that it would be an impractical road car. I love Ford's, but nothing can replace a Ferrari. I wouldn't even trade my TR for a Ford GT, which is worth a good 30K more than my car. In the end though, only an American can truly appreciate American muscle. 07-08-05 03:25:34 _____________________________________________________
spiritof78 ::: Favorites There's a reason Ford only sold the Cobra R's to people with a racing license, hence the "R" designation. Sure "nothing can replace a Ferrari", but wait until you have to "replace something on that Ferrari", I hope that pretty prancing horse on the front of the car hides a secret compartment of lube for when you have to bend over for repairs. 07-08-09 20:49:44 _____________________________________________________
reactorfallout ::: Favorites Yes the first official MSRP was 55K. Which was revised to 65K at launch. The dealership I worked at never let one go for that though and was very upset at Ford for their prophet margin on the model because of the factory warranty issues and parts support for such a limited run. as for Ferrari mainteance, you have no idea, but I love Fords too, your just a fanboy, and can't see the good in all performance cars. how norrowminded 07-08-09 22:19:28 _____________________________________________________
bittyfuzzball2 ::: Favorites Nice video man! Trystelune, you're an idiot. You said it's "unbelievable" to compare those two cars, even though the video shows the Cobra hanging with the GT. No one was saying one is better than the other anyway, except you because you're insecure. 07-08-04 00:41:10 _____________________________________________________
spiritof78 ::: Favorites LOL @ Trystelune, your comments crack me up. You do realize that the Cobra R cost about $54,000 new and the Carrera GT cost about $450,000. Apples and Oranges, man, of course the GT is going to be a "better" car, even if only because of the "health care system of country of origin", whatever the hell that has to do with anything? I'm just going to make the assumption that you troll every american car video. BTW, awesome car, I love hearing that 5.4 roaring down the straights. 07-07-27 15:21:24 _____________________________________________________
reactorfallout ::: Favorites Actually, the Cobra R retailed for exactly $78,995 and had a $3795 gas-guzzler tax, and any car sold in the U.S. over 75K has a luxury tax staring at $3250. Also, if you think a stock Cobra R sounds like that, and accelerates that hard with the stock 380hp engine, you're very mistaken. I would guess this car has something north of 500hp. Even at 80k, it's a wonderful GT car, and a very American way to go around a race track. 07-08-05 03:18:58 _____________________________________________________
spiritof78 ::: Favorites I'm sure a stock R doesn't sound like that, true, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a 5.4, which is what I said. And no, the R didn't retail for $79 grand, maybe you're thinking in Canadian dollars, eh? Look up the specs on motortrends website, it retails for exactly $54,995. Whether people actually paid that price is another story, but that's the official book price. 07-08-09 20:43:26 _____________________________________________________
Trystelune ::: Favorites i said : " and a GT is so amazing car, a supercar ." and you said : " the cobra r isn't a super car " i've seen your mother at the corner , she's low price , and as drunk as you , to compare ferrari to a shit car . you'll never pass a ferrari , and that's making you fucking mad 07-07-25 09:19:12 _____________________________________________________
thedriver ::: Favorites lmao what in the fu*k did you just say?! i have no idea. learn english you stupid fu*k if your going to post on an american website. i would love you to tell me about america mother fu*ker. it's pussies like you that hide behind your keyboard and talk shit. where in the fu*k do you come from? bosnia? czech? france? please tell me your from france you snail eating, smell like piss, arrogant piece of shit.. 07-07-25 11:16:06 _____________________________________________________
hey9252003 ::: Favorites Trystelune, If you are going to comment on an American video, at least have the courtesy to communicate in proper English. I think that my 3 year old can communicate more clearly than you. Thedriver, thats a great video. It's nice to see a factory produced track vehicle being used where it was originally intended. By the way, what exhaust is installed? It sounds significantly louder than stock. 07-07-24 22:04:40 _____________________________________________________
Trystelune ::: Favorites an american video?? think about what you're saying. that's not my first language , i hope your children are speaking better than a foreigner ,you dumb asshole.I'm sure you can't speak fluently another language . and what we see at TV's about your educational system is frightening, so i wouldn't critysize a foreigner about his communication if i was you . usa hates the world for a long time, so i'm not surprized. and compare cobra and a porsche carrera gt, come on !!!!!!!!!!!! unbelievable 07-07-25 09:12:31 _____________________________________________________ |
